Exec Coach Award HC 300x239 Top Executive Coach: Heather wins Executive Coach of the Year Award!

In my own business, I like to aim high. Setting personal and business goals allows me to reach milestones just like my clients do in their own businesses. You could say that I drink my own Kool-aid. When my husband Paul and I headed to Memphis, Tennessee for the ActionCOACH annual conference, I had no idea that I would win one of the most prestigious awards that they would give.

I was so excited to see all of my hard work and focused dedication to Executive Coaching pay off when they announced that I had won the Executive Coach of the Year award for North America. While this is the first year that they have announced this award, it was such a great honor to be recognized among 2 other top Executive Coaches, Chuck Kocher and Doug Winnie.

This award means more to me than meets the eye.  ActionCOACH has dominated the global business coaching market for 15 plus years and when I first joined ActionCOACH in 2005 as a franchisee, Executive Coaching was not part of the business model.  I came from a legal background where I primarily worked with Executives from Fortune 100 companies and I knew that our services were much needed in that arena.  I worked with Brad Sugars for years to help develop the Executive Coaching Certification that was rolled out in 2008.  We have now had 82 of coaches certified as Executive Coaches around the globe, which also makes us a global leader in Executive Coaching in a short period of time.  I am so grateful to work for an organization that is entrepreneurial and willing to change.

Wanting something is one thing, but reaching that goal is something else entirely. In order to get what you desire in business and in life, it’s crucial to outline how you’ll get there. For me it has never been about being better than any other coach, but being the best I can be and helping my clients succeed by motivating them and holding them accountable to the goals that the set.

Nothing just happens. As a small business owner you have to set goals and pave the way to accomplishing those goals.
